COVER
Only Arctic Spas®
Castcore®
covers mould the
entire foam core around a steel
reinforcement in the exact shape of
every spa, which means no cuts,
no moisture*, and no big electrical
bills or the endless high cost
of replacement covers.
As an extra feature, all Castcore®
covers feature an insulating baffle
between the cover halves to prevent
heat loss along the seam. Choose
Castcore® and save.
* foam that is
cut to shape rather than molded has
'open' cell foam that takes in
moisture much faster - a sodden
cover is heavy and a poor insulator.
Replacing covers is an expensive
business. |

SHELL
The Arctic spa shell is so thick and so strong that it's the only
self-supporting hull in the industry. That's why we
guarantee it for life. There is
no need for pieces of timber or foam
for structural support.
Our patented
Heatlock®
system allows us to house the
equipment between the shell and the
insulation, capturing all residue
heat from pump motors - this means we never let energy go to waste
and saves you money. |
|
CABINET
Beauty, strength and accessibility are built in to every Arctic Spa cabinet. We construct each cabinet using Canadian Clear Red Western Cedar. Corners are round with tongue and groove cedar
dadoed into top and bottom 2 x 4 rails, rather than simply fixing a side panel to a frame with screws. The sturdiness of our cabinets is incomparable.
No sagging, shifting or misalignment will occur.
All cabinets come with inset access doors on all sides of the spa, allowing full access to the inside of our hot tubs, providing easy service access to upgrade parts as you wish.
|

FLOOR
Made along the lines of a boat's hull, our
Forever Floor® is the best possible seal against moisture, pests and
time! It completely eliminates the
need for foundation materials,
meaning you can move it anywhere you
like. No concrete base required.

JETS
Jets are one parameter that people
use to compare spas. Unfortunately
number alone isn't a great check
(not least because of the crafty way
they can get counted).
Some
"jets", such as cluster or needle
jets are little more than a hole in
the tub where water comes out in a
straight line - this can feel
uncomfortable after a short while.
Arctic spas jets are strategically
placed where they are needed most
and can individually adjusted
on/off. There are a combination of
directional and rotating jets that
swirl to give a circular massage
effect. Arctic jets come in a 2
-tone finish or stainless steel
finish. |

PUMPS
When you begin researching
your spa purchase, you may be
led to believe that pump motors
with higher horsepower means
better jet performance.
The fact is that motor horsepower is a measure
of the electrical energy the motor requires
for the pump to do its work of moving water
through the plumbing lines to the jets. To put
it in more familiar terms, 1 Hp = 746 Watts. Common
sense tells you that a motor too small for
the job will overheat and wear out quickly. A
motor that is too big for the job is just a power
hog. The motor should operate at its best power
and efficiency when fully loaded, with some
reserve (called the “service factor”) to handle
potential upgrades.
Our pumps produce a flow rate of
1080 l/min (260 gallons per
minute!),
using just 4HP
Even the most efficient motor runs warm under
load, because some energy—as much as a 40%--
is always going to be lost as heat due to friction.
This means that your pump is actually a heater!
In the end, jet performance is influenced more
by such factors as the pump capacity (in gpm or
m3/h), the plumbing size and configuration, the
quality of jets and the individual jet controls
than by the power consumption of the motor.
The best test is a wet test: feel the output of the
jets and make sure they fit your massage expectations.
Arctic Spas’ HeatLock®
system is designed to
recover this “bonus”
heat and use it to help
heat your spa. By utilizing
pumps that are designed
to run in this hot
environment (Read the
motor label. It has the
ambient operating temperature
plainly stated,
40º to 50ºC/120º to 125º
F) we can guarantee that
they will run--day after
day--for years of trouble-
free service.

FILTRATION Cleaning filters
was a necessary evil in owning a
spa. However, Arctic Spas filtration
system is virtually maintenance
free.
Each spa comes with a MicroPure™
every day filter that filters down
to 1micron and is 94% effective at
removing particles with one pass.
This eliminates the use of chemical
clarifiers, de-scummers, cartridge
cleaners and de-foamers. No
weekly cleaning of the filter is
required, just replace it every
3 months when you drain your spa.
Arctic Spas use a simple and
effective filtration system called a
telescopic floating weir. The weir
adjusts with the water level to
effectively skim the surface where
most of the oil, skin and
contaminants accumulate. A second
filter system sucks in water at the
bottom of the spa in the foot well.
This combination is designed for the
highest flow rate possible and to
ensure the cleanest water.
Filtration cycles are also
programmable and fully adjustable to
accommodate bather load.

CONTROL PANEL
Arctic
Spas offers one of the most
technologically advanced and
user-friendly topside control units.
Engineered to perform in every
season, the digital temperature
display has solid state accuracy.
Besides fingertip temperature
control, the topside control unit
oversees diagnostics, flow switch
failure, over-heat protection and
the freeze protection.
Heat and filtration cycles are all
programmable. The self-diagnostic
feature of the controls allows for
easy servicing of the spa. In many
cases our service technicians can
isolate and solve problems right
over the telephone.

OZONE Ozone is one of nature's most
powerful purifier. It is widely used
to purify drinking water because it
is PH neutral, chelates metals and
destroys other organic contaminants
quickly and with no residual
chemicals remaining in the water.
Ozone's purification capability is
clear. But how effective it is at
purifying is dependant on two key
factors.
Ozone Concentration - The system
must consistently produce enough
high concentration ozone to purify
year after year.
Contact time - Ozone must come into
contact with contaminants and have
enough time to react.
Arctic spas have developed two
systems that address these problems.
ARCTIC OZONE AND PEAK OZONE SYSTEM®
Both systems take water from the spa
into a chamber away from the main
body of water, purify it with ozone,
and then return it to the spa.
Arctic ozone has a replaceable
cartridge ozonator that will need
changing from time to time. Peak
ozone works slightly differently but
is completely maintenance free. Peak
Ozone is the option to chose for
Peak Performance in water
maintenance. Come and visit our our
showroom for a demonstration on each
system.

NORTHERN LIGHTS
All
Arctic spas come standard with the
largest underwater light in the
industry. Each spa has a coloured
light and can easily be upgraded to
our automated Northern Lights.
Computer generated digital lighting
allows you to change the light
colour with the touch of a button.
Rainbow patterns and changing strobe
effects enhance your spa experience.

TRU-GUARD HEATING
Heaters fail more often than any
other spa component. This is because
most spa heaters use a heating
element submersed into the water,
directly exposing it to the
potential hazard of chemical
imbalance or poor quality water (a
problem usually not covered under
warranty).
Arctic Spas protects the element in
the Tru-Guard heater, which is
sealed with the same protective
Teflon-Titanium based coating used
to seal commercial acid tanks. The
patented coating prevents the
build-up of minerals and shields
against corrosion. The Tru-Guard
heater comes with a five-year
No-fault replacement warranty...your
guarantee that your spa will always
be hot!

THERAPY AIR AND AROMATHERAPY
Arctic Spas offers an available
Therapy Air package on all spas. A
powerful air blower forces soothing,
heated air out of multiple jets
throughout the spa. Therapy air
provides an gentler, bubblier
massage than that of water jets.
Unlike most other spas that draw
cold air from outside, Arctic spa's
Therapy Air draws air from the
heated air space under the spa.
Each Arctic Spa incorporates an
aromatherapy dispenser that
introduces fragrance directly into
the spa's air injection system. You
can choose from a variety of
available fragrance beads or use any
of your favourite essential oils.
The combination of aromatherapy and
hydrotherapy is powerful and
soothing for both body and spirit.

MUSIC
Arctic offer two
different music system options.
The Aquatremor®
sound system uses advanced tactile
transducers affixed directly to the
spa’s shell to create sound, rather
than standard speakers. Arctic
Spas®’ exclusive Heatlock®
insulation system
creates the ideal environment to
transmit perfect stereo sound.
Just plug in your iPod and go.
Arctic’s new Wetunes™
option includes an amplifier,
rectifier, and two waterproof pop-up
speakers. MP3 ready so you can plug
in your favourite source of tunes!
